Qualitative formative research to inform policies for engaging health workers to ensure successful uptake of covid-19 vaccination,2021

The aim of this research is to gather information on three specific behaviors:

  1. Health workers’ behavior to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
  2. Health workers’ behavior to recommend a future COVID-19 vaccination to the public.
  3. Health workers’ behavior to deliver a future COVID-19 vaccination to the public.

The target group of the study consisted of doctors, nurses and specialists (immunologists, epidemiologists). A total of 5 focus groups were conducted within the study.

Groups consisted of health specialists from different regions of Georgia to lower the possibility of them knowing each other. The snowball method was used for gathering contact information. After this, the respondents were recruited by phone.
